Zusammenfassung

Ödembildung ist immer ursächlich zu klären, selten findet sich kein Anhalt für die Einlagerung von Flüssigkeit. Die häufig interdisziplinäre Klärung muss auch immer ungewöhnliche Fragestellungen prüfen. Lymphödeme können primär oder sekundär an allen Körperoberflächen, bevorzugt aber an den Extremitäten entstehen. Dem Lymphsystem kommt vermutlich eine gesteigerte Bedeutung in der Flüssigkeitshomöostase zu.
