Abstract
The Bohai Bay Basin is in the eastern part of mainland China, between 114°–124° eastern longitude and 35°–42° northern latitude. It includes five provinces and cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, and Shandong, as well as the Bohai Sea, that is, a total area of ~17 × 104 km2.
