Abstract

The undisputed king of commercial vehicle engines is the diesel internal combustion engine. In the diesel engine combustion chamber, a diesel air mixture is ignited. In this process, the chemical energy of the diesel is first converted into heat, then this heat is converted into mechanical energy.
