Zusammenfassung

In den letzten Jahren haben sich die Möglichkeiten der Behandlung von Patienten mit ischämischen Schlaganfällen beträchtlich verbessert. Die therapeutischen Ansätze basieren auf grundsätzlichen Erkenntnissen zur zerebralen Perfusion und Autoregulation. Der Einsatz invasiver Behandlungsmethoden setzt voraus, dass der behandelnde Arzt mit der Interpretation von Infarktmustern in cCT/cMRT ebenso wie mit der Gefäßanatomie vertraut ist. Für die Wahl der effektivsten Sekundärprävention ist die korrekte differenzialätiologische Abklärung nach einem Schlaganfall von großer Bedeutung. Dazu gehört auch, dass dem behandelnden Arzt auch seltene Ursachen von Schlaganfällen bekannt sind. Die oben genannten Inhalte werden in diesem Kapitel ausführlich und auch anhand vieler Abbildungen vermittelt.
