Zusammenfassung
Falls Sie schon einmal Verwandte in einer pflegerischen Einrichtung, die in der Regel sehr viele Menschen mit kognitiven Störungen und Demenz beherbergt, besucht haben, ist Ihnen vielleicht der geringe Anteil an männlichen Bewohnern aufgefallen. Der absolute und relative Anteil an Frauen mit Demenz ist wesentlich höher im Vergleich zu Männern. Im Folgenden erklären wir Ihnen, woran die Unterschiede in der Häufigkeit, aber auch im Verlauf der Demenz liegen und geben Tipps, wie Sie auch als Mann dement werden können. Denn keine Sorge, liebe Männer: Wir werden auch Sie um den Verstand bringen können!
