Zusammenfassung
Die Begriffe Coxa valga und Coxa vara bezeichnen eine Vergrößerung bzw. eine Verkleinerung des physiologischen Winkels zwischen dem Schenkelhals und dem Femurschaft. Bei der Coxa antetorta vergrößert sich die physiologische Verdrehung zwischen dem Schenkelhals und dem Femurschaft nach vorne; bei der Coxa retrotorta fehlt diese Verdrehung bzw. ist sie in die Gegenrichtung, d. h. nach hinten, orientiert. Die angeborene Hüftgelenkdysplasie bzw. -luxation besteht aus einer Unterentwicklung, d. h. Abflachung der Hüftpfanne mit der Folge einer unvollständigen bzw. fehlenden Überdachung und Zentrierung des Femurkopfs in der Hüftpfanne. Sie ist sonografisch bei der Geburt auszuschließen. Beim Morbus Perthes (Morbus Legg-Calvé-Perthes) handelt es sich um einen spontan auftretenden mehr oder weniger vollständigen Zerfall der wachsenden Hüftkopfepiphyse mit Deformierungs- und Reparaturvorgängen. Eine Epiphyseolysis capitis femoris entsteht durch Dehiszenz der proximalen Wachstumsfuge des Femurs mit Instabilität und Kranialisierung des Schenkelhalses gegenüber dem Hüftkopf.
