Zusammenfassung
Bei dieser Variante der kontrollierten Beatmung ist die Inspirationszeit – unphysiologisch – länger als die Exspirationszeit, das Verhältnis von I:E somit >1. Die IRV soll die Oxygenierung verbessern und wird daher bei schweren Störungen des pulmonalen Gasaustausches angewandt.
