Zusammenfassung
Neuronale Netzwerkanalysen ermöglichen die Erfassung von Konnektivitätsänderungen in großen Nervenzellverbänden. Sie verbessern das Verständnis von physiologischen Vorgängen sowie das von Iktogenese und Epileptogenese. Netzwerkanalysen liefern auch neue Ansätze zur Optimierung von diagnostischen und therapeutischen Ansätzen bei Epilepsien. Aus einer netzwerkorientierten Sicht lassen sich fokale und mehr oder weniger ausgedehnte bilaterale Anfallsaktivitäten voneinander unterscheiden. Historisch geprägte Begriffe können in einem dialektischen Prozess unter Netzwerkgesichtspunkten betrachtet werden.
