Zusammenfassung

Da Parietal-und Okzipitallappenepilepsien mit ungewöhnlicheren iktalen Symptomen wie passageren Körperschemastörungen, diversen visuellen Phänomenen und Vertigo einhergehen können, werden sie nicht selten mit psychogenen nicht-epileptischen Anfällen verwechselt. Nichtinvasives Video-EEG-Monitoring ist oft nicht wegweisend, sodass bei schwer behandelbaren Verlaufsformen im Rahmen der prächirurgischen Diagnostik häufig eine intrakranielle EEG-Ableitung erforderlich ist. Wie bei Epilepsien aus dem Temporallappen werden zwei Drittel der Patienten nach Resektion anfallsfrei.
