Zusammenfassung
Dank der demografischen Entwicklung gewinnt die urologische Funktionsdiagnostik zunehmend an Bedeutung, da die die meisten Blasenfunktionsstörungen eine Prävalenzzunahme mit steigendem Alter zeigen. Gleichzeitig bedingt unsere Bevölkerungsentwicklung eine Herausforderung und Verpflichtung zum verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit knapper werdenden Gesundheitsressourcen. Unser gegenwärtiges Versorgungssystem leistet in dieser Hinsicht aber einer vermeidbaren Kostensteigerung Vorschub, da durch den mit häufigen Arztwechseln verbundenen Informationsverlust nicht selten diagnostische Untersuchungen unnötigerweise wiederholt werden.
