Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel wollen wir die anatomischen Komponenten des limbischen Systems und seine Grundfunktionen betrachten. Die Hauptstrukturen des Gehirns werden in ihrer Morphologie und Neurochemie dargestellt ebenso wie die Verbindungen der limbischen Strukturen zueinander und ihre Verknüpfungen mit motorischen und sensorisch-kognitiven Hirnregionen. Es geht darum, die Hauptfunktionen der jeweiligen limbischen Region, aber auch die überlappenden und ergänzenden Funktionen mit anderen limbischen Strukturen kennen zu lernen.
