Dieses Kapitel befasst sich mit den Supplementen, die den Medien für die Zellkultur zugesetzt werden. Außer dem Lebenselixier für das optimale Zellwachstum, dem Serum, werden auch alle weiteren Zusätze wie Aminosäuren, Salze und Puffer, sowie die vermeintlichen Heilsbringer Antibiotika und Antimykotika sowie deren Einsatzbereiche und Konzentrationen thematisiert.
