Maple ® ist ein von der Firma Maplesoft (auch in Kooperation mit Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen) entwickeltes und vertriebenes Programm. Es handelt sich um ein Computeralgebra-System, also ein Programm, das mathematische Umformungen nach gegebenen Regeln exakt durchführt, d.h. keine Rundungsfehler begeht, wie etwa bei numerischen Approximationsmethoden.
