Zusammenfassung
Die Mitarbeiter der Spätschicht verbrachten den Nachmittag mit Aufnahmen, Verlegungen und Angehörigengesprächen. Die Zeit flog. Schließlich ging die Sonne unter und auch in den Zimmern wurde das Licht gedimmt. In Abhängigkeit von der Lagerung bekamen die beatmeten Patienten Schallschutzkopfhörer oder Ohrstöpsel. Nachtruhe auf Intensivstation war ein Oxymoron. In diesem Kapitel geht es um mechanischen Schallschutz, Eklampsie, Magnesium, DIC, intrazerebrale Blutungen, Stillen und Medikamente, Sectio und Krampfanfall sowie Wirkung von Ironie.
