Schleimretentionszysten imponieren als relativ-derbe, glasig-zystische Knötchen und entstehen traumatisch überwiegend im Bereich des Lippenrots sowie der Mukosa der Unterlippe, seltener an der Wangenschleimhaut. Ihre Entfernung erfolgt vorzugweise laserchirurgisch.
