Zusammenfassung
Normale Anatomie, Normvariante oder Pathologie – diese Frage ist häufig einfach, aber gelegentlich auch nur sehr schwer zu beantworten. Ausgangspunkt bei der Beurteilung eines jeden Röntgenbildes ist das Wissen über die gesunde, regulär vorzufindende Anatomie. Dieses Kapitel widmet sich als vielleicht wichtigstes Grundlagenkapitel nicht nur der Anatomie von Ober- und Unterkiefer inklusive der Zähne, sondern auch der Kieferhöhle und dem Kiefergelenk. Darüber hinaus wird die normale Anatomie aller Regionen aufgezeigt, die zumindest gelegentlich in DVT-Aufnahmen mit abgebildet werden und die im Sinne einer vollständigen Befundung des Datensatzes mit beurteilt werden müssen. Konkret sind dies: Nase und Nasenhaupthöhle, Augenhöhle, Schädelbasis und Felsenbein. Eine große Menge an Bildbeispielen spricht das visuelle Gedächtnis an und hilft dem Leser, die Anatomie in eigenen Aufnahmen wieder zu erkennen.
Die einwandfreie Kenntnis der regelrechten Anatomie der im Bereich der Dentomaxillofazialen Radiologie liegenden Strukturen ist die Basis für das Erkennen von Normvarianten und von pathologischen Veränderungen. Nur auf Basis dieser Kenntnisse können diese erkannt, abgegrenzt, beschrieben/befundet und diagnostiziert werden. In den beiden folgenden Abschnitten wird die regelrechte Anatomie beschrieben und durch beschriftete Abbildungen illustriert.
