Zusammenfassung
Während bei der BET mit lokaler Exzision kleiner Tumoren und anschließender Bestrahlung die Erhaltung der Brust unter onkologischen Aspekten im Vordergrund steht, entwickelte sich die onkoplastische Chirurgie aus dem Gedanken heraus, mit größeren Sicherheitsabständen durch eine partielle Mastektomie eine bessere lokale onkologische Kontrolle zu erzielen, soll die Brust in dem gleichen Eingriff neu geformt werden, um das ästhetische Ergebnis zu verbessern. Dies kann häufig aber nur erzielt werden, wenn die Gegenseite mit in die Planung einbezogen wird, da die Ästhetik der Brust eng mit der Symmetrie verknüpft ist; verdichten sich die Hinweise aus Studien, dass eine sofortige Rekonstruktion des Restdefekts der Brust unter Vermeidung von Hohlräumen in der Brust zu besseren Ergebnissen nach der Bestrahlung führt.
