American Adaptation of Tang Poetry Translations from Europe

Abstract

In the beginning of the twentieth century, the number of Americans translating Tang poetry was very limited. Resources available to American sinologists, including the interpretation of classical Chinese literature, mainly stemmed from the existing European production.
