Zusammenfassung
Die Sarkoidose ist eine Multisystemerkrankung unbekannter Ursache, die in der Regel junge Erwachsene im Alter von 20–40 Jahren betrifft. Eine Neurosarkoidose gilt als prognostisch ungünstige Komplikation der Systemerkrankung mit einer Prävalenz zwischen 5 und 15 %. Bei Fehlen von systemischen Symptomen ist die isolierte Neurosarkoidse eine Herausforderung. Die Neurosarkoidose präsentiert sich häufig als basale Meningitis mit Hirnnervenstörungen, ein granulomatöser Befall des Hirnparenchyms und des Rückenmarks ist aber ebenfalls möglich. Eine konsequente Immunsuppression ist das Mittel der Wahl.
