Die Funktion kognitiver Modelle in der Sprachtherapieforschung

Zusammenfassung

Unter dem Einfluss der evidenzbasierten Medizin wird randomisiert kontrollierten klinischen Gruppenstudien (RCTs) auch in der Sprachtherapieforschung große Bedeutung beigemessen. Obwohl jedoch bereits zahlreiche RCTs durchgeführt wurden, sind die meisten Fragen zur Therapiewirksamkeit immer noch ungeklärt oder kontrovers, und klinische Entscheidungen über sprachtherapeutische Vorgehensweisen im Einzelfall können meist noch nicht auf der Grundlage externer Evidenz getroffen werden. In der Sprachtherapieforschung setzt sich zunehmend die Auffassung durch, dass diese Unklarheit im Forschungsstand und die daraus resultierende Unsicherheit in der evidenzbasierten Praxis auch auf die extrem heterogenen kognitiven Ursachen von Sprachstörungen zurückführbar sind. Aufgrund dieser Heterogenität muss das Wirkungspotenzial einer Vielzahl von Therapieansätzen für unterschiedlichste sprachliche Defizite ausgelotet werden, und die Sprachtherapieforschung steht hierbei noch am Anfang. Vor diesem Hintergrund wird in dem Beitrag für mehr theorie- bzw. modellgeleitete Sprachtherapieforschung plädiert und für eine weniger exklusive Fokussierung auf RCTs.
