Der SGA-Fetus ‒ die intrauterine Wachstumsrestriktion

Zusammenfassung

In diesem Kapitel wird die Diagnostik beim SGA-Feten (small for gestational age = untergewichtig für das Gestationsalter) erläutert. Nach der Definition des SGA- und des IUGR Feten (Intrauterine-Growth-Restriction = intrauterine Wachstumsretardierung) wird die Ätiologie beleuchtet. Die Diagnostik erfolgt durch klinische Untersuchung, fetale Gewichtsschätzung durch kombinierte Messung von Kopf- und Abdomenumfängen und Dopplersonographie. Im Anschluss wird erläutert, welche Möglichkeiten zur Prävention und zum Management des IUGR-Feten vorliegen. Abschließend werden die Besonderheiten der späten Wachstumsretardierung dargestellt.
