Zusammenfassung

Bei komplexen Schädelbasistumoren stellt eine initiale interdisziplinäre Diskussion mit den jeweiligen Fachgebieten ein Grundprinzip dar. Der neurologische Funktionserhalt bzw. eine Funktionsverbesserung gelten mittlerweile als oberste Maxime bei der Therapieplanung. Generell ist die Individualisierung eines Behandlungskonzeptes anhand aller vorhandenen klinischen und radiologischen Daten ein weiterer Grundsatz der modernen Schädelbasischirurgie, welcher durch stetige Verbesserung der präoperativen Diagnostik und Therapiesimulation sowie intraoperative Visualisierung mittels moderner Endoskopie und der damit verbundenen Verkleinerung der operativen Zugänge für den Patienten möglichst schonend umgesetzt werden kann.
