Abstract
Gastrocnemius recession is a common treatment for paediatric patients with spastic equinus often due to neurological conditions, e.g. cerebral palsy. Although the literature is expanding, there is still little evidence on which to base treatment recommendations for recession as other orthopaedic problems relating to gastrocnemius recession.
