Zusammenfassung

Bei der Beatmung von Kindern sind deren atemphysiologische Besonderheiten zu berücksichtigen. Die wichtigste Indikation zur maschinellen Atemunterstützung und Beatmung ist wie beim Erwachsenen die respiratorische Insuffizienz. Eingesetzt werden konventionelle und Hochfrequenzbeatmungsgeräte.
