Zusammenfassung

Die Kenntnis über den Verlauf der akuten Pankreatitis, insbesondere über die Entstehung von Komplikationen, hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnten verändert. Daher wurde mit der revidierten Atlanta-Klassifikation eine Neudefinition vorgenommen, die ausführlich besprochen wird. Auch werden die Therapieprinzipien der akuten Pankreatitis differenziert dargestellt. Ein besonderer Fokus wird auf die Therapiestrategien von lokalen Komplikationen gelegt und das differenzierte Vorgehen bei akuter Pankreatitis bei biliärer Genese besprochen. Die verschiedenen Schwerpunkte der aktuellsten internationalen Leitlinien zu den verschiedenen Themen werden dargestellt und verglichen.
