Zusammenfassung
Auch wenn im Alltag der Mehrheit der Bevölkerung und in der Fitnessindustrie die körperliche Fitness im Vordergrund steht, gewinnt die mentale Fitness in der Gesellschaft durch den Wandel in der Arbeitswelt immer mehr an Bedeutung. Ausgehend von einem ganzheitlichen Fitnesskonzept als Rahmen wird in diesem Kapitel aus handlungstheoretischer Sicht die mentale Fitness als wesentlicher Faktor in der bio-psycho-sozialen Funktionseinheit des Menschen erläutert. Dazu werden Komponenten (mentales Leistungspotenzial, Widerstandspotenzial und Regenerationspotenzial) unterschieden und diese in verschiedene Facetten differenziert. Für die Umsetzung sind Diagnostik- und Trainingsmöglichkeiten – die Skala zur Mentalen Robustheit (MR2B) und das Mentale Test- und Trainingssystem (MTTS) – aufgezeigt.
