Zusammenfassung
Traumatische Verletzungen der abdominellen und iliakalen Gefäße sind mit einer hohen Morbidität und Mortalität assoziiert und stellen den Operateur nicht selten vor eine große Herausforderung. Schwere Begleitverletzungen dieser oftmals polytraumatisierten Patienten verschlechtern die Prognose zusätzlich. Im Gegensatz zum nordamerikanischen Raum überwiegen in Deutschland mit über 90 % die stumpfe Bauchverletzungen (Aufmkolk und Nast-Kolb 2001).
