Abstract

Topical delivery of macromolecules is a significant challenge. However, the increasing need in dermatology for the topical application of biodrugs, including proteins, peptides and nucleic acids calls for the development of novel approaches. In this perspective chapter we highlight several examples of advancement using physical and chemical methods.
