Abstract

A surface is a real 2D (two-dimensional) manifold M 2, i.e., a Hausdorff space, each point of which has a neighborhood which is homeomorphic to a plane \(\mathbb{E}^{2}\), or a closed half-plane (cf. Chap. 7).
