Zusammenfassung

Die Kinder- und Jugendgynäkologie ist ein kleines, aber komplexes Fachgebiet an der Schnittstelle zwischen Pädiatrie und Gynäkologie. Eine interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit ist unabdingbar, um die jungen Patientinnen kompetent und umfassend zu versorgen. Krankheitsbilder können hier unter anderem Störungen der Brustentwicklung, Menstruationsstörungen, Erkrankungen des inneren und äußeren Genitales, sexuell übertragbare Erkrankungen und endokrinologische und genetische Erkrankungen sein. Häufig fallen diese Erkrankungen in eine vulnerable Phase der Entwicklung und können weitreichende Konsequenzen auch für das weitere Leben und ggf. der Fertilität der jungen Frauen haben, und müssen nicht nur somatisch, sondern auch psychologisch kompetent versorgt werden. Das folgende Kapitel soll einen Überblick über die häufigsten Erkrankungen verschaffen, und bei der Versorgung der jungen Patientinnen helfen.
