Zusammenfassung
Überwiegend haben uns bisher Optionen auf nur ein Asset beschäftigt. Numerische Methoden für solche Standardoptionen wurden in Kap. 1 (Baummethoden), Kap. 3 (Monte-Carlo-Methoden) und Kap. 4 (Finite-Differenzen-Methoden) diskutiert. Wie schon in Kap. 1 angemerkt, gibt es außer den Standardoptionen eine Vielzahl weiterer Optionen, die als „exotische“ Optionen bezeichnet werden, auch wenn ihre Nutzung Alltag ist. Dazu gehören Optionen mit komplizierten Payoffs , pfadabhängige Optionen und Optionen mit mehr als einem Underlying. Diesem riesigen Feld kann ein Lehrbuch nicht annähernd gerecht werden. Wir beschränken uns in diesem fünften Kapitel auf Optionen mit zwei Assets. Die entsprechenden numerischen Methoden lassen sich weitgehend auf drei oder mehr Assets verallgemeinern, werden dann aber so aufwendig, dass sie in ihren Grundversionen kaum durchführbar sind.
