Abstract
The management of penetrating injuries to the subclavian vessels presents a considerable challenge to even the most experienced surgeon [1]. Complex surgical exposures required for conventional open repair contribute to a high morbidity and mortality [2]. The contemporary management of these injuries consists of a combination of open and endovascular surgeries. The availability of local expertise, resources, surgeon preference, and clinical presentation will dictate the management of individual cases. A comprehensive knowledge of the anatomy of the subclavian vessels [3] is essential for the selection and execution of individualized patient management.
