Nothing lasts forever, not even the stars in the sky. Actually, stars are born and die all the time in the universe. And when they end their life, they don’t go quietly. They light up in one of the most violent and energetic phenomenon in the universe, when for the duration of weeks, it becomes brighter than entire galaxies, before fading away. This is called a supernova explosion.
