Surgery of the Meniscus

Abstract

Meniscal injuries make up a high percentage of knee injuries. Different types of surgery from the meniscal partial meniscectomy graft suture through the meniscus itself [1–3]. Rehabilitation of these injuries can be grouped into two types: partial meniscectomy and meniscal suture with meniscal graft. The guideline is split into several sections: objectives, precautions/contraindications, treatment with the physiotherapist, and home treatment. The phases described are theoretical and moving to the next phase depends on achieving the objectives rather than on temporal factors [4–10].
