Zusammenfassung

Obwohl die Bedeutung von Lebenssinn im Kontext von Gesundheit und Krankheit vielfach belegt wurde, gibt es nur wenig Akzeptanz für sinnzentrierte Therapieansätze – vor allem in Europa. Dabei stehen mehrere Therapieformen zur Verfügung, die teils strengen Validierungsstudien unterzogen wurden und sich bewährt haben. Dazu zählen Verfahren, bei denen ein geleiteter Lebensrückblick im Mittelpunkt steht, sowie Einzel- und Gruppentherapien. Im Folgenden werden die bekanntesten Ansätze beschrieben, ergänzt um neuere Verfahren, die gute Validierungsbelege vorweisen können.
