Zusammenfassung

Die 18F-DOPA-PET/CT ist das GPS für den Kinderchirurgen, das bei fokalem CHI, zusammen mit der Histopathologie, eine hochselektive Resektion nur der hypersezernierenden Inselzellen unter Belassung des gesunden Pankreasgewebes ermöglicht. Eine vollständige Heilung der Kinder ist die Folge. Jedoch kann, und zwar sowohl bei der Akquise als auch bei der Interpretation der Bildgebung, jedes noch so kleine Detail entscheidend für die richtige Zuordnung zur klinischen Situation und damit für den klinischen Erfolg sein. Eine enge interdisziplinäre Kooperation, wechselseitige Rückkopplung und viel Erfahrung von Nuklearmedizinern, Radiologen, pädiatrischen Endokrinologen, Kinderpathologen und Kinderchirurgen sind daher von großem Vorteil.
