Zusammenfassung
Für die meisten intrakraniellen vaskulären Läsionen im Kindes- und Jugendalter ist die operative Therapie eine lohnenswerte – teilweise gar die einzig sinnvolle – Option. In jedem Fall sollten die geeigneten vorbereitenden und Sicherheitsmaßnahmen beachtet werden. Die Kenntnis über spezielle Eigenheiten vaskulärer Läsionen im Kinder- und Jugendalter ist im Zuge der Vorbereitungs-, Behandlungs- und Nachbetreuungsplanung notwendiger Weise vorauszusetzen. Eine Versorgung an einem Zentrum mit vaskulärer Expertise ist essenziell und sollte der an einem Zentrum mit ausschließlich pädiatrischer Expertise vorgezogen werden.
