Zusammenfassung

Ultraschall wird seit über 25 Jahren in der Neurochirurgie und speziell in der Gliomchirurgie angewendet. Stand zunächst die reine Abbildung des Tumors im Vordergrund, haben sich die Techniken in den letzten Jahren deutlich verbessert, sodass die Dynamik der Resektion und die Tumorresektionskontrolle abbildbar sind. Die intraoperative Anwendung von Ultraschallkontrastmittel und der Elastografie verbessern die Möglichkeit einer direkten „Real-Time-Visualisierung“ in der Gliomchirurgie für jeden Neurochirurgen ohne Zeitverlust.
