Zusammenfassung

Die Psychologie beschäftigt sich mit den Fragen, die uns Menschen seit jeher bewegen. Diese Disziplin ist mittlerweile etwas über ein Jahrhundert alt und damit sogar vergleichsweise jung (Zimbardo 1995) – ihre Wurzeln sind hingegen sehr viel älter; sie stammen aus der Philosophie und Biologie. Psychologie ist in vielen Bereichen zu finden: Neben der Forschung und Lehre findet die Psychologie beispielsweise auch in der Arbeitswelt, im Bereich der Gesundheit und Pädagogik aber auch der Forensik ihre Anwendung (Myers 2008).
