Zusammenfassung

Die perioperative Antibiotikaprophylaxe ist integraler Bestandteil vieler Operationen im Bereich der Haltungs- und Bewegungsorgane. Sie ist abhängig von Operationsrisiko, Art des Eingriffs, Operationstechnik, Operationsgebiet, Kontaminationsgrad sowie von patientenindividuellen Faktoren. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine einmalige Gabe eines Antibiotikums 30–60 min vor dem Operationsbeginn, damit zum Zeitpunkt des Hautschnitts ein ausreichender Wirkstoff im Blut und Gewebe erreicht ist.
