Abstract
Chinese cities have undergone a breath-taking process of urbanization in since the reform and opening up. Such a process is profound spatially, socially, and economically to require a careful and deep understanding. The book serves this purpose by examine the process, policies, and politics of the urban and regional development and governance in China. Theoretical framework and practical analysis are developed to present the latest new-type urbanization path in China and its implications for countries around the world.
