Im vorigen Kapitel wurde beschrieben, dass beim photosynthetischen Elektronentransport Protonen über die Thylakoidmembran transportiert werden und so ein elektrochemischer Gradient aufgebaut wird. Dieses Kapitel beschäftigt sich damit, wie dieser Protonengradient genutzt wird, um ATP zu synthetisieren.
