Zusammenfassung
Im Übergang vom Industrie- zum Informationszeitalter entsteht eine engere Vernetzung und damit Beschleunigung der Kommunikation. Im gleichen Zuge werden Entwicklungs-, Herstellungs- und Distributionszeiten von Produkten verkürzt. Gleichzeitig motiviert die eingeschränkte Verfügbarkeit von Ressourcen einen generellen Kostendruck sowie das Streben nach Leichtbau, Material und Gewicht einzusparen. Das einleitende Kapitel beschreibt den Kontext und Ursachen aus denen das Forschungsziel der Arbeit entstanden ist. Neben den Forschungsfragen wird auch die Forschungsmethodik erläutert. In diesem Zusammenhang wird der Fokus des Buchs auf die Anwendung des Lasergenerierens erläutert, sowie der Versuch der Übertragung auf andere schichtadditive Verfahren.
