Die Neue Rückenschule

Ein jeder bewegt sich, empfindet, denkt, spricht auf die ihm ganz eigentümliche Weise, dem Bild entsprechend, das er im Lauf seines Lebens von sich gebildet hat. Um die Art und Weise seines Tuns zu ändern, muss er das Bild von sich ändern, das er in sich trägt. ... Eine Änderung in der Dynamik unseres Tuns ist gleichbedeutend mit einer Änderung in unserem Ich-Bild, einer Änderung in der Art unserer Beweggründe und mit der Mobilisierung aller betroffenen Teile unseres Körpers. ... Das Ich-Bild besteht aus vier Teilen, die an jedem Tun beteiligt sind: Bewegung, Sinnesempfindung, Gefühl und Denken. (Feldenkrais 1978, 31)
