Zusammenfassung
Das Wechselspiel zwischen Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) und Public Relations (PR) ist nicht einfach: Beide Disziplinen sind noch sehr jung und bewegen sich oft auf Neuland, beide entwickeln sich sehr rasch, und beide polarisieren. Dies hat zur Folge, dass derzeit PR entweder häufig falsch (z.B. in Form von Greenwashing) oder gar nicht eingesetzt wird. Die zentrale Rolle der Kommunikation in der CSR wird dabei übersehen bzw. unterschätzt, mit dem Ergebnis, dass Unternehmen das Potential von CSR nicht ausschöpfen oder aber ins Schussfeld einer – oft zu Recht – immer skeptischeren Öffentlichkeit geraten.
