Zusammenfassung

Weltweit leiden nach Daten der WHO 1,5 Mrd. Menschen an Übergewicht. Die postoperative Mortalität in der Adipositaschirurgie liegt zwischen 0,2 und 0,7%. Da konservative Behandlungsmethoden nicht immer den gewünschten Erfolg haben, bieten sich bariatrische Operationen als effektive Methoden zur dauerhaften Gewichtsreduktion an. Aufgrund der Komorbiditäten sind bariatrische Operationen jedoch als Hochrisikoeingriffe anzusehen und bedürfen sorgfältiger Abklärung im Vorfeld. In diesem Kapitel werden die typischen Komplikationen der häufigsten bariatrischen Eingriffe (Magenballon, Magenband, Schlauchmagen, Roux-Y-Magenbypass), deren Diagnostik und Behandlung beschrieben.
