Das Kind aus Fall 6 beschäftigt Dr. Maverick weiter: „Während er die Akte des ersten Patienten auf der Station durchsah, hörte er einen durchdringenden Schrei: „Ein Arzt sofort ins Zimmer 110!“ Die gegenübersitzende Schwester schaute ihn aufmunternd an; gemeinsam liefen sie los. „In Zimmer 110 liegt das tonsillektomierte Kind von heute“, sagte sie auf dem Weg. Als sie das Zimmer betraten, bestätigten sich Dr. Mavericks Befürchtungen: Im Bett lag Kevin. Das Kopfkissen, das Laken, alles war voller Blut…“ – Wie groß mag der Blutverlust sein? Welches und wie viel Volumen soll Dr. Maverick geben? Dann geht auch noch der i.v.-Zugang verloren und Dr. Maverick braucht unbedingt Hilfe.
