Zusammenfassung
„Zwei Monate war es jetzt her, dass Frau Dr. Clara erfolgreich die Facharztprüfung Anästhesiologie abgelegt hatte. Bereits kurz vor der Prüfung war sie in den Bereich Kinderanästhesie rotiert. Diese Rotation fand meist kurz vor oder nach Erreichen der Facharztreife statt. […] Heute war Hernientag, und insgesamt waren fünf Säuglinge zu betreuen, die alle jünger als 3 Monate waren…“ – Als Anästhesie wird eine Kombination aus Allgemeinanästhesie mit Kaudalanästhesie gewählt. Wie muss das Lokalanästhetikum dosiert werden? Das Kind ist ein ehemaliges Frühgeborenes. Wie sieht es mit Muskelrelaxanzien aus? Wieso benötigen Säuglinge mehr Anästhetika? Plötzlich bricht der Kreislauf des Säuglings zusammen. Es muss schnell gehandelt werden, aber was war die Ursache?
