Subfascial Prepectoral Breast Augmentation

Abstract

The subfascial plane for breast augmentation had some advantages over conventional techniques, such as good breast shape, rapid recovery, and avoidance of some shortcomings, such as implant edge visibility, implant distortion, two-peak breast, and a relatively long recovery period. Furthermore, it could also provide the breast implant with more soft tissue. The author discusses the breast upper pole diaphragm and retrofascial pocket surgical procedure including incision site, patient marking, the retrofascial prepectoral monoplane technique, and the retrofascial prepectoral dual-plane technique.
