Interkulturelles Management

Zusammenfassung

Organizations cannot function without communication. A wide range of studies in Europe and the USA demonstrate that managers spend 50-90% of their worktime communicating verbally. In addition, the amount of time increases relative to the size of the company and to the manager’s position in the hierarchy: executives spend more time than middle or lower level managers (Wahren, 1987, p. 50; Mintzberg, 1989, p. 12).
